Smith Maintenance Company provides a clean, hazard free, healthy, safe environment in which to work in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. As an employee, you will take an active part in maintaining this environment. You should observe all posted safety rules, adhere to all safety instructions provided by your supervisor and use safety equipment where required. Your workspace should be kept neat, clean, and orderly.
All safety equipment will be provided by Smith Maintenance Company.
WHAT IS OSHA?
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is the Federal governmental organization which enforces safety regulations for safety in the workplace.
OSHA regulations require companies to do three things;
- Employee Training
- Document policies and procedures
- Outline Safety Policies and labor laws
Smith Maintenance Company ensures its employees are safe by providing safety meetings and safety manuals to all its employees.
